Apoptosis refers to the spontaneous and orderly death of cells controlled by genes to maintain the stability of the internal environment. Apoptosis is different from cell necrosis. Cell apoptosis is not a passive process, but an active process. It involves the activation, expression and regulation of a series of genes. It is not a phenomenon of self injury under pathological conditions, but a death process actively fought for to better adapt to the living environment.
