Classification Of Agonists

Generally, it can be divided into selective and non selective. Selective only promotes a certain reaction, and non selective promotes a certain type of reaction.

β Receptor agonist

(1) Selectivity β Receptor agonists, such as dobutamine; selectivity β 2 Receptor agonists such as salbutamol, tert butyl, Chuanning, etc. β Receptor agonists interact with β 2 Receptors bind, activate excitatory G protein, activate adenylate cyclase, catalyze the transformation of intracellular ATP into cAMP, increase the level of intracellular cAMP, and then activate cAMP dependent protein kinase (PKA), finally relax smooth muscle by decreasing the concentration of intracellular free calcium, inactivating myosin light chain kinase (MCLK), and opening potassium channels. In addition, β Receptor activation can also inhibit mast cells and neutrophils to release inflammatory mediators, enhance airway ciliary movement, promote airway secretion, reduce vascular permeability, reduce airway mucosal edema, etc. These effects are conducive to relieving or eliminating asthma.

(2) Non selective β Receptor agonists, such as isoproterenol, act on the bronchus β Adrenaline receptor can relax bronchial smooth muscle and inhibit the release of histamine and other mediators; excitement β Adrenaline receptor can accelerate heart rate, enhance myocardial contractility, increase conduction velocity of cardiac conduction system, and shorten refractory period of sinus node; To dilate peripheral blood vessels and relieve the load of the heart (focusing on the left heart) to correct the shock state of low blood output and severe vasoconstriction.

M-receptor agonist

For example, pilocarpine has been used as an eye pressure lowering drug for more than a century. In order to prolong the efficacy and reduce side effects, ophthalmologists have done a lot of research work. Liposome, as a sustained-release drug delivery system of pilocarpine, is applied to the treatment of glaucoma. It will have a good development prospect because of its good efficacy, small side effects, convenient use and other characteristics [2].

N receptor agonist

For example, nicotine is the main alkaloid in tobacco, accounting for about 90% of the total alkaloid content. It is closely related to pest resistance and is also an important indicator of tobacco and cigarette quality. Nicotine accumulation is the result of co expression of structural genes encoding nicotine biosynthesis pathway, and structural genes are usually controlled by COI1, JAZ, MYC-2 and other regulatory genes. At present, most genes involved in nicotine and nornicotine biosynthesis, regulation and transport have been identified
