GLPG3970 (GLPG 3970) is a potent, selective first-in-class salt inducible kinase SIK2/SIK3 inhibitor in development for inflammatory indications.

Biological Activity

GLPG3970 works by selectively blocking a protein called JAK1, which plays a pivotal role in the immune system. By inhibiting JAK1, GLPG3970 can reduce inflammation and alleviate symptoms of IBD, such as diarrhea, abdominal pain, and rectal bleeding.
Preclinical studies have demonstrated that GLPG3970 is highly potent and selective in inhibiting JAK1 activity.
