Biological Activity

RP-6685 works by targeting the protein PAK4, which is known to play a role in tumor cell growth and metastasis. Specifically, RP-6685 inhibits the activity of PAK4, preventing it from signaling downstream pathways that are involved in cancer cell proliferation and migration.
Several preclinical studies have demonstrated the efficacy of RP-6685 in inhibiting tumor growth in various types of cancer, including breast cancer, melanoma, and pancreatic cancer. For example, a study published in Oncogene in 2019 found that RP-6685 significantly inhibited the growth of pancreatic cancer cells in vitro and in an animal model of the disease.
Another study published in Scientific Reports in 2020 showed that RP-6685 inhibited the growth of triple-negative breast cancer cells and suppressed the development of lung metastases in a mouse model of the disease.
