Biological Activity

IL-17 modulator 4 is a small molecule inhibitor that targets the interleukin-17 (IL-17) pathway.
IL-17 modulator 4 inhibits the IL-17 pathway by selectively blocking the interaction between Act1 and IL-17R, thereby preventing the recruitment of downstream signaling proteins and the subsequent activation of proinflammatory pathways. IL-17 modulator 4 has been shown to have a high degree of selectivity for the IL-17 signaling pathway, with no significant effects on other cytokine signaling pathways.
IL-17 modulator 4 targets the IL-17 pathway by selectively inhibiting the activity of IL-17 signaling proteins. The IL-17 pathway is initiated by the activation of IL-17 receptors (IL-17R) on the surface of target cells, such as epithelial cells and fibroblasts. IL-17R activation leads to the recruitment of a number of signaling proteins, such as Act1 and TRAF6, which ultimately activate downstream signaling pathways, such as NF-κB and MAPK, leading to the expression of proinflammatory cytokines.
